Hello! If you have already looked at my blog you know that my name is Amanda, but on this page I want to tell you a little more about myself!
I am a twenty-something working toward a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Throughout my time in a male-dominated field, I learned that I wanted to show other women that they can be successful in whatever area they choose. I love spending my time boosting other women up and supporting them.
Emotional? Very. As someone who is very in tuned with how I am feeling, I love to help improve others’ moods. Wanna talk about your life? Step right up because I truly love listening and hearing about what you’re up to!
Blissful Gal aims to inspire readers to live happy and healthy lives while being the best version of themselves. Through lifestyle, self-improvement, fashion, and beauty posts, you can find inspiration for any aspect of your life. With many career paths being predominantly male, it is the mission of Blissful Gal to encourage women to set their goals high and work toward them full force.
While contemplating what I could name this blog, “happiness” kept coming to mind. I knew I wanted to create something that would make people happy and enjoy spending their time here.
So I typed my fingers to thesaurus.com and looked up other words for it–which is the precise moment I decided on the word “blissful.” While thinking about what other word would go well with “blissful,” the name “Blissful Gal” kept reappearing in my mind. Regardless how corny the title is, it perfectly describes what this blog is all about and what I work toward through every post that goes up!
How I spend my free time
I really despise feeling cold so during the winter I’m more of a home-body. But during the summer, you will likely find me outside, whether I’m playing with my two Miniature Schnauzers (Amy & Holly. We like to give our dogs real people names), going on walks, or just reading a book.
I also really love fishing on Lake Erie. (Fishing? What?!) Yes, at first I thought I would hate it, but the second I caught my first Walleye, I was hooked! It’s even better in the middle of summer when being on the water isn’t super chilly so I can take a nice little nap on the boat (which at times leads to some awesome thigh sunburns).
I am so glad you decided to stop by and hangout with me for a bit! Whether you are a college student looking to read more about college tips and tricks or someone who just wants some added joy to their life, you will definitely find yourself at home here! So go ahead and click the social media buttons right there on your sidebar so we can get to know each other and stay in touch! (:
