I’m not sure about you, but nighttime is probably the time I have most of my crazy thoughts. Whether it be crazy or just downright scary, you can bet I think about it when I’m trying to fall asleep. So needless to say, I do not fall asleep quickly. So if you are a normal nighttime over thinker like I am, I think you will understand and agree with many of my thoughts!
1. Are the doors in my house locked?
Oh no, what if I left the garage door open? But I can’t go down and check it now because if it is open then that means a mass murderer is already in my house and will kill me. Looks like I’ll just have to worry all night.
2. Foot, don’t you DARE go off the side of the bed.
Ummm… haven’t you heard of monsters under the bed? They’re real.
3. If I cover my whole body with my sheets and blankets I’m safe.
Yes, because obviously I’m invisible if I am completely hidden under my covers. My philosophy has always been, “If I can’t see them, they can’t see me.” And I’m still alive, so I think it has worked so far! (;
4. Awe man! I just got comfortable.
Seriously. Why is it that the second you get comfortable you realize you have to use the restroom?!? Not cool bladder.
5. Don’t wake up anywhere between 3:15-3:30 am.
If you are unfamiliar with scary movies, this is a common time for the bad guys to kill EVERYONE.
6. Did I finish everything today?
Did I complete everything I had to do? Well crap. I forgot to study for that test. Time to get back up and start cramming.
And in the midst of all these thoughts, I somehow, at some point, miraculously fall asleep.
What issues or things do you think about at night? Does it keep you up like me?!
Stay posted for next week’s post because I am going to be decoding your common dreams!
