I feel pretty ashamed that I’m from Northeast Ohio and Cleveland still feels like a foreign place to me. Having been born and raised here, I should kinda know it like the back of my hand…right? Okay, maybe not thaaaat well, since I do live about an hour from the city, but still. I should know more about it than I already do. #shameonme.
Which is why I have set out on a mission to make my way to the city more often and explore more places. And this isn’t entirely selfish… I taking y’all along with me so you can know more about the great CLE too! 🤗 In my venture to see more of Northeast Ohio, I employed Katie, from Kasually Katie, and Alie, from Alie’s 5 Things, to come with me. These two girls are bloggers in the area and I’m proud to say we are now IRL friends 💃
I’m a little behind on posting simply because #life, which you might find out about in the next month or so! 😉 But here we are now to dig in a little deeper on my Cleveland girls weekend adventure, so let’s go!
Alson Jewelers x Ippolita Blogger Event
We first attended a blogger event in Beachwood at Alson Jewelers to showcase the new Ippolita collection. It was pretty cool because we got to take a style quiz to see what type of jewelry fits our personality the best. You can take the quiz here. It was also super exciting to get to meet some other local bloggers! Most of them I have only connected with online, so getting to chat in person is always so lovely. I can’t even count now how many of my closest friendships have stemmed from the good ol’ interwebs.
Cheesecake Factory in Legacy Village
Well… this is embarrassing. In the last travel post I shared from St. Louis, I also talked about eating here… Safe to say I love this place? Absolutely. But when the Cheesecake Factory is available to you, how can you not go? I typically order off the Enlightened Menu, which is the lower calorie menu. I simply eat too much bread (is that even a thing??) while I’m waiting for my food, so knowing my main course is a little better for me makes me feel a little less guilty.
One of my favorite places on a nice day in CLE is Legacy Village. I love the outdoor shopping setting and how cute everything looks. We stopped into Charming Charlie, which I believe is an absolute must because it’s one of the largest ones I’ve been in! And how could you not go into Nordstorm Rack? Sometimes I get overwhelmed walking into stores like that, but I did find a really cute maroon cardigan and an Alex and Ani bracelet, so I’ll call it a win!
Aquariums are my fave and when my friends at Cleveland Aquarium found out that we were going to be in the area, they were nice enough to give us tix for the day. It’s located in the Flats of Cleveland and at one point I did think we were lost because it didn’t look like there was an aquarium anywhere in the area. But alas, we found it and had fun walking through the cute space. We had the chance to pet the stingrays too!! My fave part was the big window where you could stand and watch the sharks swim by 🙂
