annoying sweet sound of our alarm clock in the morning… While I am a morning person and am way more productive during the earlier hours of the day, nothing is worse than being woken up by an alarm and forced out of a warm bed. There are some days when I’m so ready to get up and bounce right out of bed. But most times, that’s not exactly the case, and the snooze button is used…and abused. Being in college has helped me establish a solid morning routine to get ready fast while still hitting the snooze button!
While I would love for this to be my morning routine every morning, it’s just not possible. There are things like washing my hair that actually have to be done once in awhile, but I don’t do every day. The key to get ready fast is to have multi-tasking products on hand that can serve several purposes. This is why I’m so excited to team up with Cetaphil® Moisturizing Cream to discuss how you can get ready fast (and still hit snooze) every morning!
Know where all your products are
When you have an unorganized bathroom, it results in taking so much longer to get ready. While I have a variety of different makeup products and brushes, I only keep the everyday essentials in the bathroom. This adorable little vase was turned into a makeup brush holder and works perfectly. Having only the brushes that I use on a regular basis on hand makes finding what I need a quick task.
Eye shadow palettes are better than single eye shadows
When I want more bang for my buck I always go for eye shadow palettes. While they may be a little more expensive up front, it’s so worth it. When you have a palette of colors, you know that any and all shades will go together. When I have a variety of shades in one palette, I can easily pull what I want and throw them on. Plus, single eye shadows just take up too much space. And I rarely ever reach for them!
Multi-purpose body cream
Sometimes when I am constantly in a hurry, I tend to neglect my skin–which results in not-so-very-moisturized-skin. I’ve been a huge fan of Cetaphil® for years now simply because it works and doesn’t make me break out, since it’s non-comedogenic. The Cetaphil® Moisturizing Cream is so awesome because I can use it on my face when I need a little moisture boost as well as all over my body to provide intense and lasting moisture for my sensitive, dry skin. One thing I am always looking for in a body cream is something that is non-greasy and dries quickly–which is what I love about this cream.
You can also easily find all the Cetaphil® products at your local Target too!

The one type of hair brush you need
I firmly believe that every girl needs to get her hands on a brush that works on both wet and dry hair. Yeah, I’ve heard that brushing wet hair is not that great, but when you have a brush specifically made for wet hair. there’s no pulling. And it works just as well on dry hair–preventing you from rummaging through a hair brush collection to find the one you need and allowing you to get ready fast.
Dry shampoo is key
Isn’t dry shampoo a millennial girl’s best friend?? I wash my hair about every other day (sometimes every 3 days…) in order to save not only time, but my hair as well. When spraying dry shampoo, I always aim for my roots because that is where the oil lies. I start sectioning my hair at my ears and work my way up my head. Once I have that goodness on my head, I wait a couple minutes to really let it soak up all the oil. In the meantime, I start putting my face on with some bb cream. Then I scrub my scalp, like you do when you’re actually shampooing and brush through my hair. I’ve been loving this easy hairstyle for days when I’m in a hurry to get out the door!
These steps are essential for me to get out the door in a flash. Because I strive to always be early, or at least on time, these tips come in handy so often.
