I recently posted about how to make better lifestyle choices and talked about how I regularly juice to get all of my veggies in for the day. However, having the same kind of drink on the daily has gotten a little boring so I ventured a little out of the norm to find more exciting drinks to make.
In the morning I have so many things I need to get done, from publicizing my blog posts on social media to making sure I finished all my homework that’s due for the day. Taking ten minutes out of my morning routine to sit down for breakfast is just not an option at times, so carrying around my smoothie as I am getting ready is super convenient.
I love this “sneaky” greens recipe breakfast smoothie recipe because you can’t taste the spinach at all! Bananas have such a strong flavor that they pretty much mask the greens in the smoothie. Peanut butter and bananas seem to go hand-in-hand when it comes to breakfast smoothies which is why I paired them! The protein and greens, along with all the nutrients in the Carnation Breakfast Essentials® keep me full through my classes until lunch time. Because a growling stomach in class is never fun… So you should probably head to your local SAM’S Club to stock up on your Carnation Breakfast Essentials®!!
- 1 packet of Vanilla Carnation Breakfast Essentials®
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Spinach
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon Peanut butter
- Ice (optional)
- Add spinach to blender
- Cut banana into chunks
- Add banana
- Add packet of Vanilla Carnation Breakfast Essentials®
- Add peanut butter
- Blend until desired consistency is reached (may add ice to make smoothie thicker)
